I haven’t seen this discussed here before and don’t know if anyone else has this
problem. I had my first and only GB attack March 12, 2006 and was in the
hospital. Sonogram showed that I’m loaded with stones. My doctor and his nurse
practitioner said they probably did give me antibiotics in the IV, but I can
find no record of it in my medical records. However, ever since then, my tongue
has been coated, and was not before. I finally had a lab test and they said it
is not yeast. My doctor doesn’t know what it is and said the only way to find
out would be to do a tongue biopsy, and he doesn’t want to do that. I probably
wouldn’t like it either. I have no idea what it is and I can’t seem to get rid
of it. It does not hurt and I wouldn’t even know it if I didn’t look in a
mirror. Any ideas?

Wow, thank you for those links. I’ve done some searching, too, but never came
up with such good pictures.

All basically saying the same thing. Check them out and see if it helps
you figure what is happening.

I can believe that. I had a major pesticide poisoning in Feb. 2003 and it has
affected my heart, lungs and bones. I did major detoxing at that time. Even
had to move out of my house for awhile. I have lost half my lung function
because of it and the Dr. wanted me on oxygen 24/7. I have refused to do that.
I used to cough, gag, choke and vomit every day. After 4 years of it, I’m
finally over that. I do still get out of breath at times. I believe my GB
attack was also linked to the pesticides. I’m tremendously better now, finally.
Except for the tongue problem. I’m taking a variety of antifungals and
probiotics. Anyway I’ll hang in there and hope it eventually gets better, too.
(Oops, I noticed this was still in Draft and I had not actually sent it. So
it’s out of order.)

Hi Amber,
The coating on the tongue happens when one is full of toxins.

The tongue is a reflection of the health of inside you!
your tongue being coated is toxins from your body and shows yeast in your
digestive tract..
Clean out your digestive system slowly but steadily..
don’t take strong herbs to kill of the yeast..you have to change the TERRAIN of
your body, get it more alkaline..
MEAT WHEAT EGGS RICE DAIRY all are acid formingin the body..most grains
are..except I think millett and tofu…
at least reduce the acid forming foods, make yourself cultured veges…see other
postings!
IF you are constipated you will also get a coated tongue, and if you need to
cleanse your liver also you will get a coated tongue!
good luck

Lab test did not show yeast and the home yeast test didn’t either, however, I am
on a regime of antifungals anyway. I totally agree that it’s an indication of
what’s going on inside. I think I’m still detoxing from the pesticide
poisoning.

WOW! Tongue biopsy to determine coating on the tongue. Their bag of tricks is
almost empty. glad to hear you declined. There are plenty of books on Chinese
tongue diagnosis. Extremely accurate. If you have a good TCM practitioner in
your area they will be able to tell you everything immediately. -D

I live in a very small town in a rural area. I don’t even know what a TCM
practitioner is. The tongue is still coated and got worse when I started taking
more antifungals. Evidently something inside my body is wanting to get out. No
biopsy for me. I’ll see if I can find anything on Chinese tongue diagnosis.
Thanks.

Thanks for that info. I’ll just wait until I got to town again and will buy the
proper oil. By the way, I love your name and totally believe in it.
Amber
I have tried Olive Oil and it just tastes too bad and burns the tongue too
much to leave it in the mouth long enough to work. Be sure your oil is cold
pressed whichever you choose to use.
