I had a minor attack 2 nights ago (fatty food related) (no stones). I
am still feeling pain. I am functional, but every few minutes I get a
sharp pain and I feel like laying down. What can I take to help the
pain subside?
My Dr. said that I do not have any stones, just a defective GB. She
recommended that I try diet to control the pain. She left it up to me
to see if could maintain.
I am really thinking surgery is the way to go.
What are the alternatives?
I am in pain at this very moment!

Bless your doctor! That is excellent and unexpected advice from a doctor. Good
for her. Please continue to do your research, change your diet, exercise, lose
weight if you need to, etc. Take the A-F Betafood I just wrote about. Eat
beets. Severely limit meat and eggs.

From what I’ve read, having the GB removed is no guarantee that a person will
not have any more pain in that area. They need to clean up their diet to
correct the problem that caused the GB problems in the first place. Without
diet changes, the underlying condition is still there and can still cause
trouble.

Get ;your gb removed then you won’t have pain but you will have a slew of
other pain in the butt problems…

Wow, when you’re right, you’re right! Love it. Excellent post. I hope people
take it to heart.

I want to add my information to this about advising people to get the
Gallbladder removed. I am going to tell what I have found out from many
different ones I have known who had this done. It does not solve the
problem.
When the GB is removed, then the body has to store the stones in the
liver. Now the body has no way of making the bile needed for handling
fat. What you all need to know is that your stomach does not have enough
HCL in it to digest food and help handle the greasy foods. Grease in the
stomach coats other foods so the body can’t digest it. So then it is
dumped into the liver to get rid of. IF there is too much fat in the
liver, the GB has to try and make enough bile to handle it, but if it
does not, then it has to become stones and are stored in the GB. After a
while the GB gets full and we are in pain and trouble.
When you have indigestion, you are not in need of antacids, you are in
need of Hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
When you have Gall stone problems, removal of the GB is not the answer.
When you remove the organ then the body has to store the stones in the
liver and the liver does not have a place to make bile so you have a
bigger problem than before. Believe me, you CANNOT eat any and
everything you want to have after a removal of the organ.
IF you have pain, is is a warning that you are doing something wrong and
need to correct it.

i am in india.
for the last 3 years, i have no pain. i have two gallstones of 13 and 15mm.
my doctor advised me to have 3 spoons of isapgul husk with three glasses of
water in the morning after breakfast and in the evening after dinner.
the pain stopped from the very next day.
isapgul husk is also availbale in india in tablet form for convenience.
