Hi everyone -
I’m another newbie. I just turned 38 and thought my diet was decent
enough, but I guess I was in denial. My first 3 attacks were spaced
months apart and enough time to forget how excrutiating they are.
The last 3 have been in the space of a month. Two nights ago was
when I finally felt sure that it is indeed gallstones. I’m trying to
take in all the information online and figure out when to start
flushing, given I have a house move looming in 2 weeks. Anyway, I’m
scared about having another attack with no pain control. The ER doc
said vicodin should help. My problem is the only thing that seems to
relieve the pain is vomiting. Has anyone found a successful
painkiller?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ronna,
I must respond to your post as I feel your not yet convinced that this will
work. Trust me it will work. I’ve only done 2 flushes and I feel so great. I
had 4 attacks before I did my first flush. I purged over 100 stones during my
first flush. I felt great but then had another attack about 4 months later. I
did a flush 2 weeks after that in November of 2003. I have not had an attack
since the beginning of November. However, I do know that I am not 100% and will
do another flush again in April after Easter as I have a lot going on now.
Please do not consider having your GB removed. To me this is not an option.
Please do your research and do know that the mainsream MD’s are mostly out to
make the drug companies $$ which in return makes them big time $$$$$.

Ronna,
As I mentioned I got my gallbladder out Jan.21st… The surgeon said I had
hundreds and hundreds of stones in there… and you had mentioned about ppl
still having pain, and feeling like they still have stones… well, I’m one of
themmmm!!!!
When I went back to see the surgeon for a follow up appointment, he mentioned
that I might have had stones lodged in my bile ducts that they didn’t see, which
would cause pain. So he tranfered me to another surgeon ( I haven’t seen him
yet) But, what their gonna do is insert dye down my throat and go in with a
camera and check to see if their are stones… And well i’m hoping that if
their are, they can remove them with the tube that their gonna insert!
So anyway, this is why some ppl still get pain after it’s taken out… Cause the
surgeon did mention that once the gallbladder is out.. their shouldn’t be any
pain AT ALL anymore!
Well… gots to go!!!
Have a great Day Everyone!!!

Hey Noella–
It’s good to see the other side of things. Thanks for your input. I think I
said earlier that my mom had her gb out when she was 20, and never had a
problem since (she’s 52). I, on the other hand, have been having problems
since I had mine out 3 years ago ( I am 31). I have stones in my liver,
which I am having removed by ercp on Wednesday. I spent three days in the
hospital a couple of weeks ago because I had an attack. I am on the list to
gleen some info on preventative treatments, in order to lessen my chances of
developing stones again. This battle between mainstream medicine and
alternative medicine is just mindboggling, and to tell you the truth–it’s
hard to know who to completely trust. Seems like you have to choose one side
or the other……and I’m just not willing to draw that line.
Leah
gb… Looking for something that could help since I was pregnant… And
well i’m not seeking nothing! With all the pain that I was going thru and
having a new born baby at home, trying to breast feed while having an attack
etc… Like I mentioned I want more children and thiers absolutely no way
that I wanna go thru what I went thru… Spending most my time in the
hospital cause I couldn’t bare the pain! Obvisouly if doctors are taking
them out, they must know what their doing… It’s one of the most common
surgerys… and if so many doctors are doing it… must be something right
about getting it done! And since I haven’t had any “side effect” problems
yet… (knock On Wood) other than a lil pain from time to time… I need all
the good health I can get to care of my son! and if everyone wants me off
this list so bad just let me know and i’ll leave!

Dear Ronna,
describes. For me, they are a close second to child-birth - and during that
experience I wished someone would shoot me -literally (sorry to any pregnant
members out there!) If I had attacks as painful and as frequent as Noella’s I
think I would happily go under the surgeons knife<<<
Oh My! I didn’t realise I had had it so bad. My attacks were certainly way, way
worse than childbirth and lasted for many, many times longer than my labours
too! And so were my SIL’s. I also exclusively breastfed a new baby through my
illness, my first week alone in hospital I lost 22lbs, by the time I started to
get well again I was over 35lbs lighter than when I had conceived. It was a
great weight loss plan but not one I care to repeat ;o)
BUT, we are not here to compare how bad we had it. we are here to help each
other to heal ourselves so it never happens to us again. If one chooses to have
their gb out that is their perogative.
I’ve seen the devastation caused by that op and do not choose that path for
myself. I would far rather clean and heal my body and live a full and happy life
with all the parts that I was born with. After all they must have been put there
for a reason. From my research I believe I know their reason and I’m going to
fight to keep them all.
Mama.

I haven’t been online for a few days because of my house move
(which was exhausting, but went well ..) I was wondering how the
ercp went for Leah. Good luck to all the “weekend flushers”.
I’m thinking of doing my first next weekend …
(still have unpacking to do this weekend)
