help for swelling

March 31st, 2006 · 3 Comments

There are some very “smart” people on this board so… I’m hoping someone
can help me even if it isn’t a gb question.
For about the past year or 2 I’ve been having swelling in my legs.feet,
hands and arms. Worse of course at night and early in the am. At first it
was a tingling feeling- only occassionally. Now- even though it really
doesn’t hurt- it is all the time. Most of the time it is just a slight
“achy” feeling, but I know it is caused by swelling.
I’ve been on the parasite cleanse for the full term- and and currently
waiting herbs for the kidney and liver cleanse. So far, I’ve seen no
improvment in this swelling.
Can someone help me get an idea first on what would be causing it- and
second what do I do to take care of it. I don’t want a “patch up job” as
any or most doctors would give me. I want to know the ROOT problem and
deal with that.
Any ideas?????

swelling is most probably water retention/lymph congestion
see my previous posts about parasite cleansing. i don’t agree with dr clark.
parasite cleansing is not necessary in alot of cases, and in some it can
cause exactly what you are experiencing. the reason is that killing off
parasites that are buried inside impacted fecal matter will cause an exreme
die off reaction. when parasites die they release toxic alkaloids. of your
liver is plugged, this waste has nowhere to go, and remains trapped inside
lymph fluid, and voila you become swollen
stop the parasite cleanse. do some saunas. clean your liver. i have only
talked to one person who had to do parasite cleanse to do the liver flush
and he released alot of worms from his liver.
the body is very accurate in what it tells you. listen to it.

i can’t say what will work for you
you could start first with dietary changes
eliminate table salt and try getting your sodium from fresh fruits and
vegetables. eating mostly raw foods can possibly help. getting a proper
diagnosis from either a doctor or alternative practioner would help.
i have experienced exactly what you are talking about. i never had pain or a
gall bladder attack, but i had alot of swelling. this waxes and wanes as i
do the liver flushes. after a good one, the swelling goes away, and then
comes back when more stones move up. i don’t know if flushes are the best
solution for you. i tend to think that flushes deal with the effect of some
other underlying problem. although it’s possible that it could balance out
    whatever problem is causing it.
as for diet you could also try eating only raw fats like cold pressed oils,
avocado, raw butter, etc. see if that makes a difference. sauna should also
help. i never did the kidney cleanse, so i can’t speak for it.

it seems like having a congested liver is an extremely common problem,
related to almost every illness under the sun. what were the events leading
    up to your problem.
are you able to exercise. do you have normal body temp/thyroid function.
adrenal function? long term constipation? long term antibiotic use? or
antacids? metal poisoning? other chemical exposures? poor diet?
alot of people report losing water weight by drinking a mixture of
    celery/carrot/parsely juice
drinking natural souces of electrolytes sort of works for me and helps me to
sweat. but my liver is still plugged so i still experience swelling.

it doesn’t matter how many cleanses you have done. what matters is that
there is unobstructed bile flow. without this, then there will be lymph
    congestion
you can’t complain to your body that you have done a high number of
cleanses, and it will give you reprieve like a grade school student. this is
    real life.
