Does someone have anything that works to stop a gall bladder attack after
it starts. I hate taking the heavy duty pain killers they give you in
the ER. Someone mentioned Curcuma and another something they couldn’t
remember. I do the castor oil packs a couple of times a week and watch
my diet. I just did my first flush, but don’t think it was too
successful as I only had one movement that was greenish in color and had
one stone about the size of a small pebble. Any advise would be
appreciated.

Actually the heavy duty pain killers do just about as much good. They help to
relax the muscles and this in turn also helps in getting a stone to pass. My
doctor worked along with me when I was doing the flushes to help in keeping me
from too much pain. I told the nurse that I don’t like having to take the
medication but that is when I was told it was helping to relax the various
actions. I would fairly frequently test to see how I was doing and end up having
to take around four to Five roxicets to keep from having to go to the hospital.
If I happened to need more I would go to the hospital but that only happened a
total of four times in ‘99′ and really boils down to two because the first two
trips were to find out I did in fact have ‘A’ gallstone.
Some have noted that Epsom Salts has helped them to get through episodes. I’ve
done castor oil packs and had a foot massage to help a couple of times, but,
it’s been over two and a half years since my last attack in October of ‘99′ and
I have only done maybe two more castor oil packs since then.

True, Dale, at least it does help me, and so do the castor oil packs. In my
opinion what has also helped me is now I take magnesium every day. I take it
three times per day and one at bedtime. These are magnesium caps that I get
from the health food store. I get Solaray brand because I think it’s a good
product. I have tried magnesium chelate, now I’m using magnesium citrate
caps. It doesn’t cause diarrhea unless you take a lot, but even 3x a day I
never have constipation problems anymore at all.
Another thing, if one knows that they for sure have stones, Beta-TCP is
wonderful. I take it with my meals. I found out about Beta-TCP from Dr.
Mercola’s website. He gives it to all his patients who have gallstones. It
surely does help!
Take care,
Susie

Susie,
I would like to try Beta-TCP, but I like to know how things work on your body
before I try something. Exactly what is Beta-TCP, and why is it good for someone
with gallstones? What does it do to the gallstones, or the gallbladder?
Thanks,
Pat

Agnes has posted in the past that the taking of some epsom salt during an
attack can bring relief. I can’t remember the dosage, but it was something
like 1 Tblsp. in a glass of water or juice. Maybe someone else remembers, or
has tried it, and can reply

Are you using NSP’s Liquid Chlorophyll? If so, it has
some peppermint in it for flavor. Maybe that is what is
helping?? I put in my drinking water all the time.
Hello,
About peppermint, Dr. Lewis’ (or Louis) GB/liver cleanse says that if you
have nausea from taking the olive oil and lemon juice, that one can add a bit
of peppermint oil to it. I occasionly add a little bit to my olive
oil/grapefruit juice. It only takes very little and helps with the nausea.

Curcuma and Coptis is what is recommended by Julia Chaing who sells
the Chinese herbs. I tried it once when I felt like an attack “might”
be coming on and it worked, but I am not positive that I was having
one. Try very hot bath or the hot cold treatment. Shower from hot to
cold one minute at a time for fifteen minutes. Do the therapy every
day for healing treatment. I use two bathtubs, one with cold, one
with hot. I don’t like doing it, but it has worked every time for me.
All cleanses are different. Don’t give up. Keep at it. Dawn who has
now done twelve cleanses.

Hear, hear! I am following Susie’s recommended protocol on both
products and have not had an attack in a month. I am also no
longer “testing” my gb with foods I KNOW will bring on an attack. I
am being a good girl for another month (and probably beyond) until I
see the new ultrasound results. Dawn

Also, when I feel an attack coming on I drink alot of apple juice, and I lay
off the offending food that brought on the attack.

Well, Susie, I should have had this thuoght a couple of weeks ago. My
streak is over. Last night I had a 7 1/2 hour attack that nothing
would stop. I drank ES twice, tried olive oil, hot cold therapy,
prayer, massage, hot castor oil pack. After almost 6 hours in the
tub, I finally curled up on a couch and dozed on and off. I was woken
out of a sound doze LOL, with the word lobelia. I think it was
inspiration. Unfortunately, I did not stop to think or read what the
proper dosage was. I took 2 large capsules. The good news is in 15
minutes, it was over. I have since learned it is a powerful relaxant.
It is also an emetic (read Ipecac for those of you who are parents).
I have had waves of nausea and dry heaves on and off throughout the
day. I cannot even tolerate a sip of water. Any nutritionists or
herbalists know a “safe” dosage for capsules? I think one would have
done the trick without the nausea. Also when will this wear off? This
is a testimony to those who don’t believe herbs are medicinal. Be
very careful. Normally I am very cautious and read first, but I
really felt it was inspired (and still do) so didn’t stop to think. I
think I got overconfident with meat. I usually only eat about once a
week, but over the last two weeks, was out of town both weekends, ate
out, etc. The greasy, fast food, fried stuff is not a problem for me.
I see skull and crossbones when I see that stuff. I made an
appointment today to talk to the surgeon on Aug 1. I’ll probably get
another ultrasound a few days before. Until then, no meat for this
girl and I think I will mostly juice. Just take it day by day. Dawn
One thing that I have to fight is getting overconfident, which

I forgot to mention that my attempts to stop the pain created a flush
situation. I have been taking Gold Coin Grass for the last week.
After a few of MANY visits to the bathroom, I noticed that all
the “stones” are the same size. Normally they range in size from
grains of sand to pea size and of course much larger. These were
absolutely all slightly less than half a pea size. Seems like the GCC
might be working. Dawn
The good news is in 15
