possible?
Some 25 years ago there was a lot written about fasting and running. One fellow
fasted for a week then ran his best marathon of 2:33. More recently a woman
fasted the last 24 hours and ran her best time around 2:54.
On a juice fast you can go a long time and keep getting faster because you are
getting all the nutrients. When I first became vegetarian I had nothing but
vegetable juices for 4 months and kept running more miles and beating my times
every race.
I prefer having the juices because this way you can go indefinitely and it is
very healthy.

Hi Jay,
The juices are very high in enzymes, minerals, electrolytes etc.
I don’t take any supplements and never have.
What I drank almost exclusively during the 4 months was the “potassium
drink” advocated by Norman Walker. This is carrot, celery, parsley,
and spinach. However I am not that fond of spinach. I continued these
juices for several years, then gradually tapered off, primarily due to
lack of availability of good organic veggies.
Now I have a garden but am not growing carrots or celery.
One of my habits is to toss herbs in the blender with water and then
drink this. This morning I tossed in sweet tarragon and drank 1/2
gallon of this prior to exercising for 90 minutes on the rowing
machine.
Cheers.
John
