Questions questions

Hello,
I’m new to the group and fairly new to the liver flush methodolgy.
I have a few questions that I was hoping that someone might be able
to answer. These are in reference to the Hulda method.
1) I understand that the MGSO4 is used to dilate the openings to the
gall bladder and liver. Is it recommended that someone new to
flushing use MGSO4? Also, if MGSO4 is used only for dilation, then
why is it required after the ingestion of the olive oil?
2) Is there something unique to Olive Oil that makes it work for this
method? Or will any oil/fat work? I have read a few websites that
basically say that any oil/fat should work. That introducing large
quantities of fat/oil after a period of fasting forces the gall
bladder to expile stones and bile. Could someone clarify this? If
this is true, then does that mean if I do not eat anything for 12
hours and then ingest a large quantity of fat/oil (say 2 sticks of

butter) that this will cause stones to be flushed out?
The reason that I ask is I have been following high fat diet for
several years and I’m wondering if I’m already flushing my
gallbladder/liver regularly.
Seth
P.S. I do not have any gallbladder/liver symptoms that I know of. I
have recently recoverd from a severe case of Crohn’s Disease using
the SCD diet. I also run a group called HealingCrow on egroups that
talks about nutrition and chronic illnesses.

I’ll give my take on your questions….
    1) The Epsom Salts are used not only to make the ducts more elastic but also
to clean out the bowels. If you try it you’ll see how VERY effective it is
at the latter! So the reason that they are suggested to be used in the
morning, from what I understand (not being a medical professional and just
going by what I’ve read) is to initiate additional bowel movement in order to
eliminate the stones/chaff/sludge that has been dumped by the gallbladder.
    2) I can think of two reasons for using olive oil. The first is that it is
less costly than other options such as flax seed oil. More importantly,
though, olive oil has a lot of tremendous healing qualities, so it is a very
healthy substance to ingest. So it may be possible that any fat would
work, but since a cleanse is a healing thing to do it only makes sense to use
a substance that is also good for the body.
And as for a high fat diet cleansing on a regular basis, in theory this would

only work if it was alternated with periods of no fat. When you ingest no
fat the bile builds up in the gallbladder, which is what makes the flush more
effective, since there’s obviously more fluid to flush the stones out with.
That’s my perspective on your questions. If you don’t feel that I’ve
answered them or would like clarification of what I meant, please feel free
    to ask. :) in health,

“but there are other cleanses which do not use it….one uses
whipping cream. It is my opinion, only, that the liver passes chaff,
and smaller cholesterol crystals on a daily basis, as it’s normal
function; every time it secretes bile, it is flushing itself. I know
Dale has posted before about the kinds of fats that are most
beneficial to the liver, but I don’t think two sticks of butter
    qualify!”
    Adrienne,
Thanks for your response. I was just throwing butter out there as an
example, however, I am of the mind that it can be a “good” fat and am
not really concerned with it in my diet.
When I get a free weekend, I think I may give this a try!
    Thanks again,

    Thanks for your thoughts rachel.
I always like to think things through before giving them a try.
Even though I do not have any liver/gallbladder symptoms that I know
of, I probably will try the Hulda Clark method when I get a free
weekend. I do not see how the flush can do any harm and I’m of the
mind that we should try the less harmless things first when trying to
    acheive health.
    Thanks again,

    Seth
