Post-flush experiences

April 30th, 2004 · No Comments

Hi,
I’ve been lurking here for a while and I want to thank all of you for
relating your stories and advice.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same post-flush experiences as
me. I won’t get into much history, but my story is similar to many
on this board. I’m male, 40 years old and I’ve had the recurring
pain/pressure on my right side for over six months now. Doctors have
not found anything except higher than normal cholesterol. I’ve had
blood work, ultrasound, ct-scan, chest x-ray, etc. Next step will be
an endoscopy.
Between doctor visits I’ve done a lot of research on the web. I found
this group and figured a flush could not hurt and might even help.
I’ve done 4 flushes using the fast/epsom salt/olive-oil and
grapefruit juice method.
My first flush went well. I got out a lot of tan/brown stones and

chaff and felt great for a couple days, but the GB symptoms returned.
I read that this might happen so I was prepared. I was relieved that
this remedy seemed to point to a gall-bladder problem and that I was
on the way to resolving it.
My 2nd flush was 2 weeks after the first flush, but unfortunately I
got the flu the day after the 2nd flush and did not seem to flush
much out. (Or, at least, I couldn’t tell with my 103 degree fever)
It took me a long time to shake the flu after my 2nd flush. I would
get recurring fevers (once a week) and the virus seemed to travel
thru every organ in my body. This is unlike me. I rarely get a cold
or flu and they usually don’t linger.
I finally started feeling well enough to do another flush a month
after my second flush. The third flush got out a lot of the green
stones and more gritty chaff. However I did not immediately feel
good after the third flush. I felt somewhat “sore” in the area of my
liver/gall bladder and about 3 or 4 days later I experienced flu-like
symptoms for about 3 days (tired, weak, stuffy).
The 4th flush (just completed last weekend) got out a lot of the
green “stones” but they were larger this time. I also got a lot more
gritty chaff. I still got out a few of the tan stones but they were
much smaller than before. Again I felt somewhat “sore” after this
flush and yesterday I got the flu-like symptoms. Today I feel a
little tired, but I’m not feeling any GB pain.
A couple of other things to note after doing these flushes:
My digestion seems to be much better (more regular).
My stools are more well-formed.
I don’t get constipated or bloated anymore.
I’ve lost about 15 lbs. (from 195 to 180 - I’ve really cut down on
the fat and processed foods)
I know I’m doing my body some good by doing these flushes, but my
symptoms (pain/pressure in GB area) do tend to return after some
time. If I keep doing the flushes will they go for good? And does
anyone else get flu-like symptoms after flushes?
Thanks,
Roger
