Hi from Suzanne in Toronto! Well, I got up the courage and did my first flush
on Sat. night, after several weeks of discomfort almost all the time in my gall
bladder area. The day before, I ate a lot of apples and drank a lot of apple
juice, though I had some dinner of grilled vegetables and hummos and pita at a
restaurant because I was so hungry.
On Saturday, I had some quinoa and apples and apple juice to eat, then followed
the Hulda Clark protocal, drinking the two epsom salt-water drinks. I didn’t
have a b.m. until after I drank the olive oil-grapefruit mixture; next time I
will wait for that before I drink it, so I didn’t lie down immediately after
drinking the olive oil “cocktail”. I felt something moving around in my
gallbladder that night. On Sunday morning, I drank the last two epsom salts
drinks, and had several watery b.m.’s with what looked like bits of canned peas
floating on top of the water. I had about 5 more b.m.’s over the course of the
day, til about 7 pm, this time with what I think were floating stones. I
collected the larger ones. They look like small canned peas, the color and
shape and size, but are firmer. They are wax-like, and can be squished between
your fingers. There was one larger cluster, and one black one. I have them in
a small zip-lock bag. They would fill a measuring tablespoon. I didn’t try to
collect the smaller bits. All day, I felt discomfort in my gall bladder area,
as if it was squeezing, and I did several castor oil packs, and napped for a
while. I also had a terrible headache all day. In the late evening, I showered
and went tango dancing.
I am still quite bloated and have some soreness today, Monday. I was really
happy to have some success with this flush, since it really drained me
physically. I never go very long without eating, as I get shaky, so it was
really hard for me to fast on Saturday. I distracted myself with crossword
puzzles and working on the computer.
I expected to get a lot more stones, however, and wonder what can I do to have a
more successful flush next time? Should I do a colon cleanse, enemas, take gold
coin grass, follow a different diet, before the flush? I don’t think I could do
days of only drinking apple juice, as I would have massive low blood sugar
attacks (headache, weakness, confusion, etc).
I did do the parasite cleanse, and weekly follow ups, and have been drinking
lots of reverse-osmosis filtered water for several weeks, and have been taking
lecithin, milk thistle and optiguggle, and olive oil and lemon juice in the
morning for several months, along with eating mostly fresh, organic vegetables
and fruits, dried figs, apricots and raisins, nuts (almonds, pumpkin seeds,
sunflower seeds), quinoa grain, organic soy milk (soy and water), organic tofu
and some fish and chicken. I have ordered a juicer, and should receive it in a
few weeks, and will start drinking fresh, organic vegetable juices. For my
Hormone Replacement Therapy, I switched to a half a patch of low dose estrogen
and progesterin, which should be easier on my gallbladder.
Another note of interest: I have had two ultrasounds of my gallbladder, a year
apart, the last one in May of this year, that show my gallbladder is full of
stones, of undeterminable size. In three months, I am slated to have another
ultrasound. I hope to have done several more flushes by then, and hopefully
will get out a lot more stones, and will report on the results. These tests are
covered for me, as I live in Canada and our wonderful health care system has not
yet been totally dessimated by our politicans, who seem to be edging toward the
American two-tiered model.
I have been following the dialog/discussion/debate/ditrabe between the
doctor/pathologist and others with interest. My own doctor, who is trained in
homeopathy as well as traditional Western medicine, cautioned me against doing
the flush, as she feared a stone would lodge in my duct. I had also visited a
surgeon who advised me to have my gallbladder out, as I could end up with a
medical emergency if I didn’t. He also dismissed any non-surgical alternative
as ineffective. And there are stories of people who died when their
gallbladders burst! But most of the people I talked to who had had their
gallbladders out have reoccuring problems with indigestion and loose b.m.s. So
I am really hoping that the flushes will work for me. I would like to become
more educated about how I can improve my health, and am very open to
suggestions. Many thanks for all the information and support! Suzanne.
