Last night I had horrible “heartburn” that would not go away with any
of the usual OTC treatments like Maloxx. I’ve had attacks like this
before especially when pregnant and only recently wondered if it was
gall bladder related because my Mother had hers removed and told me
about the pain she’d had that forced her to the hospital.
To make a long story short, when I tried to go to bed after waiting
hours for it to subside, I went into the bathroom and noticed I was
COVERED with hives, especially where clothing had been rubbing on my
skin. I’ve never had a massive allergic reaction before and so this
was very new to me.
24 hours later I am still getting the hives which I keep under
control with antihistamines. I went to the web to see if there was a
connection between the gall badder and hives. Lo and behold I found
them connected in regards to cleansings done to rid the body of gall
stones.
I am hoping that I can read of successful stories of gall stone
removal. I’m impressed by the rationale behind the treatment and am
actually looking forward to “going” in a bucket!
My mother had her stomach pumped with air and it took several weeks
for her to recover. She still has pain in her chest and her only
recourse is to avoid fatty foods. Another friend of mine, younger
like me (36) had the surgery and reported similar recurrences.
I’m hoping to avoid surgery and perhaps this will lead to better body
awareness.
Thanks for listening…I’m going to read over this site. I’m
especially interested in success stories from others.

Sorry if this line is confusing…The hives came after a gall bladder
attack…not as a result of a cleansing attempt. I wasn’t sure there
was a connection between this sudden attack of hives and the pain in
my chest…but it appears that there is a connection. I found the
connection on a webpage that contained the flushing treatment.
I’ll be going to the doctor this afternoon and will take the
printouts of the treatment and the correlation between gallbladder
attack and hives. My doctor has been pretty resonable in the
past…I’d like to ask if he has heard of any problems with flushing.
Has anyone else had an allergic reaction after a gall bladder attack?

Hi Denise,
I have had heartburn for many years, and I think it’s because of
gastritis, since a doctor prescribed me a course of ranitidin and it
helped for some time.
Yesterday, though another doctor explained to me that heartburn can
be caused by gallstones. If the gallbladder does not function
properly, it doesn’t accumulate gall as it should, and the gall goes
along the ducts and then gets up into your gullet, which causes
heartburn.

Victor
