GB flush questions

January 29th, 2004 · 5 Comments

Hello, Everyone,
I didn’t try it this time, but has anyone tried the magnesium citrate yet
instead of the epsom salts? I’m just curious if this works as good. For
some reason, I had a terribly difficult time getting the ES down this time.
Yes, it always tastes nasty, but usually I chug-a-lug it quickly. I had to
really force myself this time.
Another thing, this is at Dr. Mercola’s website, a different GB cleanse
recipe. Has anyone tried this; and if so, what’s the point of the classic
coke?
Here is the recipe:
AT BEDTIME take the following:
5 ounces CLASSIC coke
6 oz. Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
THE NEXT MORNING UPON AWAKENING:

10 ounces Citrate of Magnesium
Thanks,
Susie

This is the one I always use and it works great. The purpose of the Classic
Coke is to provide phosphoric acid, which smooths the rough edges off the
    stones.

    Christine,
Do you mix all this together, then drink it, or do you just mix the olive oil
and lemon together and drink the Coke separate? Also, what if I take
Magnesium Citrate the night before around 8, then the next morning?
    Thanks,
    Susie

Could we use olive oil alone to flush our liver? I dont understand how
olive oil is suppose to help clean it out since it seems like its adding
more fat the liver… And could anyone tell me what the lemon or
grapefruit is suppose to do when combined with olive oil….. one more ,
does it really matter what kind of olive oil it is?
    sorry about all the questions,
    martin

Do it anyway you want! Doesn’t make any dif, I don’t think. Take the mag
citrate the next morning when you get up. No need to be running to the
    bathroom all night long!

Sigh…I’m in a crabby mood today and I just can’t handle hearing any more
about how :”saturated fats are bad for you.” If you want to get on a fast
track to cancer and heart disease, just eat lots of PUFAs (polyunsaturated
fatty acids), found in vegetable oils. Butter and coconut oil (both solid
and highly saturated) are the healthiest oils to eat. Unsaturated seed oils
are very bad. If you now feel confused, do what I did and stop believing
what everyone tells you. Get on-line and look up Dr. Ray Peat, Sally Fallon,
Dr. Mary Enig, or the Weston Price Foundation. Find out the real scoop on
    fats and oils.
