Hidascan test completed!

August 30th, 2003 · No Comments

Hi all,
I’m back from my Hidascan w/injection refraction test. The technician WAS
able to tell me that my gallbladder registered a 35%. I didn’t think that
was good at first, I was looking for 100%. But he told me that 30% and
above is normal. So I guess I’m normal in that aspect.
They did an ultrasound first to see if there were any gallstones, but I was
too scared to ask if she could still see the polyps that were on the last
ultrasound.
If anybody has any questions about the Hidascan, it’s a very interesting
procedure. I’m not too sure about the Nuclear radiation they injected into
me. I figure it’s done quite often and I haven’t heard of anyone dying from
it, yet. I guess the radiation was to see my insides like up like a
firework on the xray.
Still waiting for results from the doc.
Lisa
