Reba;
It would appear that the obvious first thing to do is a major education as to
what has been the cause of your gallbladder’s demise. Granted, it isn’t dead
yet, it just needs some very serious care. The first thing to do is eliminate
all aggravators from your diet. Such things as alcohol, coffee, fatty foods:
that is; those containing saturated fats, damaged Essential Fatty Acids; like
those used for deep frying, and strong gallbladder stimulants. One of the strong
stimulants with which I personally have to be careful is cabbage and pecan nuts,
even though they are both good for gallbladder stimulation and are mentioned for
such in Dr. Cabot’s book “The Liver Cleansing Diet”.
It’s time to start drinking those juices known for their health encouraging
properties and taking herbs that also encourage good health for the liver.
Apple, beet, lemon, parsley juice, etc. One thing that I got from Julia Chang is
the Gold Coin Grass tincture for the softening of the stones before attempting a
liver and gallbladder flush.
My story is just simply that I was diagnosed with a gallbladder stone last
February 11th 1999. But, in October of 99 I was re-diagnosed as not having a
gallstone, and that my liver and gallbladder looked good on an ultrasound scan.
I initially changed my diet in a dramatic way at first, and avoided all kinds of
fats, but not with the understanding of the good and the bad fats, therefore I
had four more sever attacks which sent me to the hospital again. In fact it was
the last one at which I had learned I no longer had any stones in my
gallbladder, and that it appeared healthy again, so something must have been
missing in my diet.
I’m of the opinion that an understanding of EFA’s is the reason I’ve been
without an attack for the last 5 months. Essential Fatty Acids are needed by the
liver for it to function properly, as I’ve learned from Dr. Cabot’s book. Since
having taken it on a regular basis, I haven’t had the extreme pain I suffered
before adding it to my diet even though there is still have the conscience
feeling of where the liver and gallbladder is located. I guess the pain makes
one conscience of them for quite some time.
As regards the thickened gallbladder that is certainly something about which to
be concerned. However it has been shown time and again that the human body will
heal if just given a chance to do so. It’s up to you to decide what to do. Your
doctor can tell you more about the gallbladder or you can search the web for
other information, there’s plenty to find, before making your final decision.

Hi to everyone. Am seeking your personal experience and advice.
Am 57 years old, 20 lbs overweight, and have experienced gallstone
attacks that seem to be triggered by depression medicine and coffee.
Each time the attacks have gone on for at least 48 hours, and there has
been brown urine and yellow eyes, which the doctor says indicates a stone
has obstructed the common bile duct and shut off all bile flow from the
liver.
I have had the sonogram and indeed do have gallstones, and a
gallbladder which is small and has thickened walls, which the Dr. says
indicates it is diseased. The medical advice is to have it removed.
Unfortunately I do need depression medicines and the ones that
worked best are the ones that caused the attacks.
The things I am wondering, and know you or I cannot really
predict, are: Since the gallbladder is already diseased, can it still
perform the flush? Will the flush just stop up the common bile duct
again?
If anyone has had experiences related to these circumstances I
would surely appreciate hearing from you.
